Of Birds & Gardens...

I spent a lot of time this afternoon outside in this beautiful weather we're having. We're getting a small tease of summer. We don't really get too warm until after mid-July in this area.
The baby is getting braver...
And he's hooongry... So Mama Bird stops in real quick...

And gives him his grub...I wish I could have gotten to go a little clearer, but she's like there and gone and she does it all day long!

The Wait & See plant is looking suspiciously like a cucumber to me!

Neighbor Bob brought me some cool driftwood and I decided to plant flowers in it...

My pink and yellow pentunia

Heliotrope...

The tomatillos are in bloom and some blooms have dropped off, so I suspect that baby tomatillos are soon to follow...

Loveage...

My Green Zebra heirloom tomato...

Sorrell...

These onions are getting huge, and starting to drape over.

The tomatillo bed with parsley and chives that I started from seed and tarragon that I didn't.

I pull them out and they come back...johnny-jump-up in the middle of my onion pool.

Snapdragon trio...

A view...

Posted it twice, by mistake...

Another view...I had to stake the dill this morning, it started to topple over...

My mini rose bush...

Lettuce is starting to sprout, this is my second planting of it...

My purple pepper is starting to bloom.

Chervil in the middle...

And thank you for taking the tour!

Just another picture blog to show why I love summertime... Our newest family member: Smokey Lonesome!
The table is all ready and rarin' to go...

Love, love, love those blue skies...

And the way the sunlight catches my wind spinners...

I wasn't going to plant any flowers this summer, but I love red petunias, they're my favorites...

I just like this picture...I've been collecting pinecones all spring as they fall off my tree...

And this is our neighbor, Buster...he knows he's too cute for me to scold too much for being on the table...

All good things must end, here comes the bank of clouds rolling up the river from the coast...

My plethora of bird houses, feeders and my old rug that needs to get washed one of these days...

Windsocks...

And I get a peaceful, easy feeling....

My garden runeth over...

Cute little girls named Sasha...

Big ol' baby boy dogs named Puppa...

And one lazy, gettin' some sun girl cat named Dave...

Tis the season for Shrimp Salsa http://allrecipes.com/recipe/shrimp-salsa/detail.aspx

Smokey Lonesome...

And last, but never least...my bench! I've always wanted one, but, for some reason, would never part with the money to get one. The neighbors that abandoned Smokey Lonesome sold me this super cheap and it was in really rough shape until Bob refinished it for me...I can't wait to sit there with that Anthony Bourdain book that RockyMountainKat sent me...
Have a great month of June!
